Translucent. I have a slammer and at first it felt weird (in a good way) just because of their size compared to stock. Now it feels natural and I do not regret my purchase at all.

Mine is engraved. I think the translucent slammer might have a better grip than the bare aluminum. I haven't seen one in person but it looks like it might feel like enamel paint.

Is it slippery? Does your hand ever slip off of it?

I'm kind of leaning towards wrinkled purely for functionality, but I like the mirrored black and translucent red better cosmetically.

This really is a difficult decision...

yeah the raceseng series of shift knobs are pretty expensive but if you have the money, its well worth it in my opinion. its very comfortable in your hand and fits the car well because it has a reverse lock out drilled into it so you dont have to see the top of your lock out (unlike cheaper universal knobs) only real issue is how hot and cold it gets

If you are going to be paying $150 for an aluminum shift knob, you might as well spend a little more and get a titanium Team Voodoo one for $175... or just spend $40 and get an aluminum one from them. (I guarantee you will not find any quality differences between a $40 Team Voodoo knob and that $150 one - the quality and craftsmanship are impeccable, they've only been doing shift knobs for decades you know...)

My hand never slips off of it. It's gets really cold or really hot depending on the weather, but they have a "glove" you can buy to cover them. I love mine, helps out with the throw, looks good, and feels great in hand!

That titanium knob weighs about half as much as the slammer. The site is severely lacking in pictures and options. I think I'll stick with raceseng. They can at least show me what I'm buying and let me pick the color and finish.

Does it have the issue with getting too hot or cold with weather? Do you have a pic by any chance? Also do you have to buy reverse lockout separately? I'm leaning towards the red translucent slammer.

Here is a pic of mine. I've had it in Louisiana heat and Georgia heat, and it hasn't gotten hot enough for me to burn my hand but remember I purchased their "cover" for the knob as well. I reused my stock reverse lock out, because I wanted to use a short throw shifter as well.

It looks big as hell compared to stock.

I ended up ordering the translucent red and reverse lock out.. so.. I just spent 230 bucks on shifter attachments lol

Installed my slammer today. I have no regrets, $140 to completely change the feel of shifting plus the cosmetic enhancement is well worth it. People were right about the quality.

I didn't even bother installing the raceseng reverse lock out.. the stock actually matches the interior better and I just didn't see any reason to bother with it. I'll be returning that piece. I'm not sure why I got it to begin with.

Love the slammer though. Couldn't believe how heavy it felt.

How does the Slammer shift knob compare to the OEM knob as far as size?

eBay and Amazon have some decent ones. I have a weighted knob, its a little over one pound and its flat black/wrinkled finish. Cost me like $40 ish? Fits and feels perfect and the stock knob is collecting dust and not collecting any wear.
