why does no one talk about 949 6UL?

Just wondering. Is it because "6ul" and "949" are not searchable here? I tried to search it but it said the term was too should. I just bought my 2nd set and not really sure why i never see anyone mention them

I've found that the search function doesn't recognize acronyms, abbreviations, or really anything other than actual words.

As Wes said, googling whatever the topic is with 'ft86club' is your best bet.

Even whet you do that most posts are 2017 or older. The most recent besides this that showed it Oct 2018. I just thought it was strange you never see people talk about them. I guess its because every one at autocross I see has RPF1

I have been running them forever on several different cars, no issues whatsoever. Make sure to check the spokes for cracks once in a while, especially on earlier generations.

Also, the search engine won't search for anything under a certain number of characters. Try searching for "FRS" or "BRZ" and it will return nothing.

Search for CH2000 (which is not a word) and it will return the one post where I posted that (it's an aircraft). I'm not sure what the breakpoint is.

Love them on Miatas but have only seen 1 or 2 twins with those wheels.

They are on sale right now.

I had some 15x7.5's for the front of my CRX and I had some 15x6's for the front of my MR-2 Spyder.

They don't make a lot of sense to me with the FRS because the RPF1's are lighter and the Advanti Storm S1's are cheaper.

Fine wheel when they are available, though.

What offset were the 15x6 set on your MR-2 spyder? My brother needs wheels.

I want to say et40. I think 949 did a very limited run on them, but they pop up on ES autocross groups.

I waited so long for them that I had completely forgotten that I bought them when I came home to boxes at the door.

I've run 6ULs 17x9 +40 in Tungsten with 235/40-17 NT01s at the track.
Great wheels IMO! Probably about to sell mine though because also have TC105Ns and don't need 3 sets of wheels...

Plenty of people run them they are just not as popular because of size and offset. Most people prioritize flush and wide. I'm actually looking at the 6UL for next year has I will probably step down a size in tire width and their 17X8 looks like it will clear my BBK.

It just doesn't come up in search because it is not enough characters.

I will talk about them when they make a 17x10 wheel :P

Pro-tip for those searching on this forum (or any page). Google something like this:

949 wheels site:ft86club.com

By adding "site:ft86club.com" to the end of the search you are forcing google to look only on the domain/page specified. It works better than the search engine here.
