I personally don't think its rice, but I am not a fan either.

My first thought when I saw the release was: "Why?"
Same here, but others were using the "R" word.

With the release of the Blue series will we see a domestic release of the STI lips or is importing still our only option?

Interesting. No spoiler flap, no rear diffuser. Why not go all out?

Also, from the look of it it has the STi springs. It looks dropped.

Benifit though, we should be able to order an OEM shark fin from our local dealer. I read they were getting rid of Sterling Silver though, so I might be SOL.

Edit: Also, anyone else notice the exhaust tips do not stick out past the bumper? The JDM tips struck out a bit.

Thought about it some more and realized the blue stitching might not go well with the red gauges, clock, etc. If they re-did the interior LEDs to blue then that would be nice. Right now I think red stitching looks best. I'd have to see the carbon fiber dash closer to see if I like it. I hope it's not like the space invaders one in the FRS

Tips can't extend beyond the bumper in US. MINI tried it. Someone burned their shins on the tips while loading their Cooper hatch & sued. MINI had to issue a recall to re-align tips at or behind face of bumper. It was probably that case that prevented the 86mm tips from coming in the first place.
