cradlepoint 3g/4gLTE mobile broadband router

I'm not a big stereo guy at all. I'm more performance oriented however I've grown tried of not having creature comforts. I like to have Nav. I'm cheap on the none performance mods and spending $1000+ on a nav unit that has everything I want is... well dumb.

So idea... Use a Cradlepoint mobile broadband router to run my wifi only pad 2 and the mount to hold it seems like a good deal. It stinks that I would have a monthly aircard bill but it is what it is. This will allow me to run any ipad app I want including turn by turn nav. Also this set me up to get a OBD-II port adapter for monitoring the car at the track on a nice big display, win-win in my eyes.

Has anyone used one of these before. How did you mount it? Will it receive signal in the glove box? Post up any build pictures you have used with it. I also like how if I need to jump on the web via laptop for some reason I'd always have wifi.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just upgrade to a LTE iPad then if you want to share the Internet just tether?

Also you could stream music/nav guidance audio to your stereo if you car supports it.
