Edit: keeping all electronics working. That's one of the reasons I buy, first I can tune the FA20 as desire and if some day the swap materialize the ECU thing is already there... Last edited by AJPG; 06-15-2016 at 06:32 AM. |

I really want to built a frs or brz but don’t know what engine swap. Im between ls swap or a 2jz. Any recommendations with engine swap is better?

A lot of the 2jz swaps I've seen seem to be focused on huge power and most being drag setups. Personally I think LS is a bit easier, engine fits nicely in the bay with no mods to firewall or radiator mounting. |

LS will get you there easily. If you’re not shooting for more hp then there is not much of a reason to go 2JZ.

Curious as to what the state of the art is for the rear end when doing a Ls swap? Are most people getting away with the factory parts? That would be a huge savings. When I did the Miata V8 swap, even the low-buck 8.8 conversion stuff was over 2K and some fabrication effort that has to come-out right.
