That is known as market disruption and something that we as consumers can look forward to. I myself am patiently waiting for the universal can-bus translator that will work with any car by running the entire code through a Rosetta stone like decoder.

I work in an industry where everything we do was impossible or magic just two years ago. By the time we are done, its just another Bic lighter.
Im hoping to receive it soon.

WGP will give you the hardware, but has a bad history with quality control and post-purchase support, and they don't have a real solution for engine management or integration with the stock systems / CANBUS.

At the moment, the only real options for intergration and engine management are Motec and Emtron. Emtron is reasonably priced.

There are no off-the-shelf wiring solutions, despite the half-truths you may get from WGP.

There are several companies working on CANBUS "translators" to use OEM ECU's, but none are ready.
Hi, the hydra EMS could be use with 6 and 8 cylinders engines.

Edit: keeping all electronics working.

That's one of the reasons I buy, first I can tune the FA20 as desire and if some day the swap materialize the ECU thing is already there...

true but Cx's downfalls as far as I know stem from moving parts. There hard parts while not the best have been stated to be decent/acceptable.

What is your power goal? What is your target application for the vehicle; drag?, drift?, track?, street?, etc

A lot of the 2jz swaps I've seen seem to be focused on huge power and most being drag setups. Personally I think LS is a bit easier, engine fits nicely in the bay with no mods to firewall or radiator mounting.

I would want it for street. And have pretty much 400-450 hp.

LS will get you there easily. If you’re not shooting for more hp then there is not much of a reason to go 2JZ.

Curious as to what the state of the art is for the rear end when doing a Ls swap? Are most people getting away with the factory parts? That would be a huge savings. When I did the Miata V8 swap, even the low-buck 8.8 conversion stuff was over 2K and some fabrication effort that has to come-out right.

Running stock end on mine with over 500whp with no issues so far. Stock Diff seems to be fine as long as you aren't launching hard on big slicks. The 8.8 swap is 5K for this chassis haha
