Hello Guys !

Just had the new style fuel pump put in at the dealer. Its safe to say the crickets sound has been exterminated . The install time was about 2 hrs to put the new pump in.

They'll be back, most likely. Several other people are reporting the new pump has not fixed the issue.

Best to just leave the issue alone, IMO.

The brand new pump? or the old fix... that was just replacing the old pump with the same pump. That one didn't work for me.

I have put a little over a 100 miles on the car and still no noise. The only sound I hear is the normal sound coming from the serpentine belt.

This is the pump with the new internals . They had me wait until this new fuel pump came out before they fixed my car . The pump just came out about 2 weeks ago.

I really hope they've come up with a legitimate fix, I'm dying to get rid of the crickets.

They aren't that bad - I enjoy romantic evenings with the crickets chirping.

I feel like I'm one of the few people that doesn't give a shit about the crickets.

I choose to live in this god forsaken 6 county ethanol regulated area so oh well... I love my brz w/ or w/o crickets.

Our car has had it since our first oil change at 500 miles...at least that's when I started to notice it.
Can't really hear it now.... @TouchMyHonda - get an exhaust, and you can't hear it anymore. lol.

I noticed it immediately after my first oil change... how that could possibly play into this IDK! Have Mike make me a 3in exhaust on the cheaps and I may consider.
