Hey,
Ten days into ownership.
Had to set the shift light for 4000 'cause this car keeps wanting to rev...
...or maybe that's just me.
Gotta go now, car is calling me to go drive somewhere, anywhere, twisties preferred.

My heart wants one, but my mind says let's wait!!!

I have been reading Fr-s and Brz for while now and I really really want to get one. But I have been tellling myself to wait until Toyota and Subaru produce the quality car because I have been hearing Fr-s owners having issues with their cars so I am fraid to get one. I also hope Toyota and Subaru change the tailight because it looks so not attractive.

Hey all. My name is John. Currently drive a '10 Acura TSX. Awaiting the arrival of the 2014 FRS. Will be doing all the entire Five:AD body/wheel combo. Also hearing a lot of rumors about the Supra reincarnation. Looks like I have a lot of car buying to do!

New owner here. I've always been a big fan of Toyota, and the fr-s was no doubt on my radar for about 2 years now. Growing up my dream car was the Toyota Supra, and I always dreamed of one day owning a car like I had seen in the 90s. A lot of my favorite cars were built in the mid to late 90s, early 00's.
When the time came to get my first serious car, I bought a 2009 Scion tc in classic silver metallic, it was the only thing Toyota really had to offer. Two years later I bought a Honda cr-z ex with navigation. After having exposure to the Honda tuner scene, I realized where I belonged.
So I traded my creature comfort, voice commanding, touch screen navigation Honda on the modern day car of my dreams. I've followed the forums a little and have read that a few have complained about the tacky, cheap looking interior and an unrefined car - this is what I love about it. It's everything that a 90's car was, and I could not be more happy. I plan to do mods, but in no hurry. I think this car has a lot going for it as is, and won't be doing an plasti-dippin, or carbon wrapping non-sense. Also I don't think the car should be labeled or thought of as a supercar that it's not. ie, an lfa or Porsche. This is a Toyota, and with the help of Subaru it's just my car.

I hope to learn a lot and contribute a lot to this community. To start, anything I need to look out for or be immediately concerned with?

I'm Josh btw. 2013 fr-s 6mt in Hot Lava.

Hey all.. about 1300 mi into ownership of my white FRS. I'll be lurking around a bit and looking for info as well at some point posting something. ..wait.. I'm already posting a newb intro.. faak.. oh well..

So yeah, Love the car so far. Really have no need to mod but I'm sure at some point I'll get restless. Esp coming from recent cars with a geat deal more hp and torque.

Previous cars of note are the '10 wrx I traded for FRS , a heavily modded 86 merkur xr4ti and a rather rusty but fun 83 RX-7. So, I'm a big fan of RWD and the boxer layout. Some days, seems like this car was made for me

On that note its great to meet you all and share interest for a great car.
