Cusco mounts have more metal content then OEM.

I have them in my turbo-ed car. Definitely has rubber bushings, they are NOT solid mounts. No melting issues.

Just because they have "more metal" than other mounts, doesn't mean they are stiffer, as long as it has rubber bushing.

My stock mounts didn't melt either....they are just too soft.

The Cusco are rubber. I posted in another thread but they are a bit worse on the NVH on the BRZ than they were on my WRX.

I always say Subarus are prone to developing rattles, the Cusco mounts will help accelerate that nicely.

For sure wrapping of the header looks like it's going to be recommended to keep the bushings in good shape. Looking forward to getting the parts back to check them out.

Another thing to note, not sure if this is how the Perrin are... With the OEM mounts, and with the Cusco, you can keep the little heat shields that come with the factory mounts that sit on the bottom.
