Rear is 14mm, solid.

I have part numbers here for OE Impreza bars in 16, 18 and 19mm. Buying from Whiteline is cheaper though unless you can find a second-hand Impreza bar!

You're not wrong. I've gone up to a 16mm on the rear and it's still pretty poor!

Too much stiffness from the sway bar(s) isn't a good thing... these cars are relatively light with low CG's, they don't need a stupidly stiff bar messing up the handling. You're better off with higher spring rates (and proper dampening for those rates) and stock (or no) sway bars.

A second-hand Impreza bar won't be hard to find locally for most people. Wait long enough and people give 'em away.

That's great if that's the case over there, but here they're like hen's teeth!

Didn't look at the location; sorry. They're rather common and cheap here. I see them for sale on NASIOC all the time.

The hatchback Impreza (2008-) was reasonably popular here, but the subsequent variant is so ugly even those half-blind wouldn't buy it. I guess that's part of the reason!
