I thought the ride was decent, and it had good size on the inside. I'd buy it before I bought a smart, but that's about all I would have purchased it before...well unless it came fully optioned like this one...

Yeah I expected it would be underpowered, but I'm surprised it wasn't more fun to drive given the tiny wheelbase. Was expecting it to be like a mini-Mini, but I guess not.

That's neat, but... How do you get into it?

The badge is easily changed. Plus, the registration still says Toyota.

My only real gripe with Scion was the monospec especially on cars at the lower budget levels. A luxury car on the other hand, in theory monospec means you get literally all the options ticked off which would be awesome if it meant the automaker could price it lower. You can't say too much about the tC being monospec because nobody else got one thus it frankly only did come in one spec. The xA/xD and xB probably suffered badly, if you didn't like the standards feature list...you wouldn't buy one. As a result the xB allowed the Kia Soul to dominate the boxy car market. If you didn't like FRS spec, there was at least the BRZ.

Fortunately those of us with monograms did get a FRS optioned nearly like a BRZ. It just kind of sucks that only a few of us got this, even though this is done for Toyota 86s literally everywhere else. Possibly 2018 will reintroduced trim levels as they only guaranteed 2017 to be monospec after Scion's demise.

My guess is you start with the convertible version and crawl through the roof.

I could rebadge, but the air bag still has a scion logo. I've met someone who put a GT86 sticker on top of the air bag logo, but that feels tacky to me, so I'd rather not. It's more of a wish it was a Toyota badge than a I want it to be a Toyota badge. I have more pressing matters like what type of tea I want to drink this morning...
