this could have been my post word for word, especially re the 370z clutch and shifting experience. as a former 370z owner, I concur with this post in full.

Compared to the BRZ , the Z does feel sloppier in terms of shifting, and clutching, and doesn't feel as sharp but handles just as good. The shifting in the Z is clunky, the clutch is finicky and makes all sorts of noises.

Visibility the z is horrible, you can't see over the hood regardless of how you position the seat, the blindspots are killer. The BRZ seating position and visibility are ways better.

There is something the FRs/BRz offers that the z didn't. When you sit in the twins you feel like you are in control of a precision machine, it feels sharp and nimble. The Z feels more like a grand tourer, a solid sports car, fast and handles great but feels dull. You can feel the weight difference, then again the Z has the power to back it up.

Its like comparing a samarai to a ninja. The ninja will always be swift and lighter but not as powerful.

I loved my z to death, its probably one of the best sports cars you can buy in terms of money. It is in no way over priced because it can hang with the cayman. I hate nissan though. The mpg sucks. The transmission and clutch sucks, the engine is coarse. Other than that it is one of the better cars you can buy in the 30k range.

I love the raw feeling of the FRS/BRZ.

Sure seems like a lot of these dumb posts lately. Why don't people get their arses off of the couch and go test drive themselves instead of asking bias owners for opinions?

The FR-S is a much better driver's car that, in the hands of a skilled driver, can beat a Z on the right course. Plus if you're comparing new vs. new, the price difference is almost enough to cover a turbo or S/C kit which would make enough extra power to spank the Z.

Butthurt Z owners the world over will swear up and down otherwise, but you can ignore them.

... how can you complain about a car with 332 hp when youre comparing it to a car that barely breaks 200 hp.... obviously you dont like to go fast and just wanted a car that was more like your 240 because a race between a 370 and an frs would be a 15-20 car length difference in favor of nissan

Fast 10% of the time. In the shop 90% of the time. Such is the way of the VAG products.

No hate, it was a joke. I had my MKV GTI for about 25k before it was in the shop for a month. And then they crashed it, and that was the end of that...

I've had both cars and I would say the fr-s has been much more practical. I've often miss the power of the Z, but I'd prefer the fr-s hands down.
