Those concerns aren't really a huge deterrent for me, if I'm being honest. Anything that I can't wait to play is going to be a PC purchase for me in any case.

And at the end of the day, if I can tell the wife "Hey, I'm gunna spend $80 per year on this. It'll save me at least $80 per year, so I'm breaking even" I think that's a decent selling point.

I have played Wildlands 3 times. I finished Breakpoint except for the final boss fight which I attempted way too many times to bother with anymore. I uninstalled Breakpoint and it will have to be a long time before I even consider playing it again. But by f*ck it's pretty to look at.
I'm looking forward to having a look at RDR2 once I get my pc back from repair.

Soooooooooo........having played RDR2 for about 3-4 hours I can't say I'm smitten. It isn't doing a lot for me. My impression is it is not a game per se but a wild west simulator. Too realistic perhaps?


I shall persevere some more, see what happens.

moving sucks. went to reconnect my sound bar(Energy Connoisseur) and it won't make noise. Optical cable connected to tv, blue tooth showing connected to PC and no sound. in fact the buttons on the bar and the remote are non-responsive.

electronics are an ecosystem. we just got a new music leader at church, he moved all the instruments around. now suddenly half either don't work, or make the entire sound system hum...

i've found a lot of times, simply replacing the cables sometimes eliminates problems, even though the cables will test good.

Yeah, it's a thought. But between two PCs, a laptop with eGPU, a switch and a PS4, my fiancee is starting to nudge me towards "do you need all this tech? You can only play one thing at a time".

In fact, just the other day she asked me why I have two Xbox controllers, two PS4 controllers and a switch controller. I tried to explain that the Xbox controllers go with a PC and my laptop, the PS4 controllers are for the PS4 and the switch controller goes with the switch, but she maybe didn't understand that they aren't interchangable.

I'm back on the RDR2 for the PS4 now. I don't love it, but I'm enjoying it enough to play an hour here and there.
