For the occasional track day, I have no oil cooler, but I think it does depend on typical ambient conditions and how long and hard the vehicle is run. I have the Delicious Tune, but otherwise she is stock.

Unless you're keeping the RPMs low, I would consider an oil cooler to be a mandatory mod for the health of your engine.

Interesting... because you're the one who said I didn't need an oil cooler when I asked for your advice, originally, but I understand that your view may have changed over time

It's completely dependent on your usage. As a commuter car that sees redline every once in a while, you don't need one.

If you're sustaining high RPM for more than a few minutes at a time (e.g. being on track for a 20 minute session), then an oil cooler is vital to proper lubrication, whether you're boosted or not.

Not making a big issue out of this, but...

You miss the context.

For someone with zero to minimal experience, who won't be sustaining high revs on track, it's totally fine. Anything more than that will mandate an oil cooler.

Big power on track

Seems to be a lot of people daily driving this kit, anyone routinely driving it hard on track with a built motor and one of the smaller pulleys?

Several, although they don't regularly post on the forums. Cool the car according to the output level, and you'll be just fine.

Hey Mike, I'm assuming you and your crew have tweaked around with this kit long enough to know the ins and outs of what to do and what not to do.

I've decided to go with a 2.5" full exhaust system where the header is EL catless, aftermarket OP, and non-resonated with HFC FP. Next I'm looking to get the Jackson Racing DR/OC + The Edelbrock D Box.

I don't have any affordable access to e85 so FF is out of the question. I have looked at Water/Methanol injection which my local area has access to, but unfortunately I'm not certain about it's capabilities and longevity on our cars; especially a 2017 model.

One of last thing I've considered so far is to change out the boost pulley from the stock 3.25" (10psi) to the 3" pulley. (12psi) (Correct me if I'm wrong)

I am planning to keep the stock motor nor do I plan on building it as my goal for this car is DD and the weekend warrior where I do at the most 5 or 6 drag races.

I am aiming for at the most 350whp and ~250wtq

I figure the 2.5" EL full exhaust setup + JR DR/OC + Edelbrock D Box will get me close if not over 300whp on 92 octane, but will getting a higher boost pulley with this setup on a 2017 AT 86 be a really bad idea on the stock CR?

12 is doable with a good header. If you tune for water/meth,and your system fails and/or runs out, it pretty much guarantees a blown engine, so I don't recommend that.

350whp will only be possible with race gas, if ethanol isn't available to you.

Do you have the part # on hand for the 3.00" pulley and other related parts necessary?

I've checked out the Edelbrock website and Summit Racing website but no solid on the 3.00 pulley that's the specific fit for the frs/brz/86 model
