Responses?"Scion FR-S kill (not surprising...) "
So I was strolling google to find the latest new about the FR-S because I am dying to get one. And I happen to come accross this.
" Scion FR-S kill (not surprising...) Well there is an FR-S at a local dealership that everyone and their cousin has been drooling over. Tonight I was out just cruising going to get food and I see it. The guy is driving very "spirited" and theres a dealer plate on it. I figured lets see if he will play. Well he is getting onto the highway, so I decide to follow. He takes off around a bend and up the on ramp, balls to the wall. Well at this time I am about 6 cars behind, I get on it and start reeling him in. By the time I get to the top of the on ramp(1/8 mile or so..) I am already within 2 lengths. I go to the passing lane and proceed to WALK around him. I put about 4 lengths on him up to about 120 and shut her down. I got a buddy that used to work at this dealership so I am gonna see if he can figure out who it was and maybe we will re-run, although I think it would just be a waste of gas. I am stock BTW... " http://www.calibersrt4.net/street-ra...urprising.html Made me a little upset. Like we say in the south "them are some fighting words". So will someone put on a turbo and beat this guy.lol. |

So you were driving 120 on a public highway while racing a guy in an FRS?

Let see how well that torque steering monster would keep up with an FR-S around a track, you know, where you're supposed to race cars........
Personally, I hate SRT4s.

First of all, I hardly even see this as a race. The guy in the Caliber SRT thinks he is racing the FR-S, but is the guy in the FR-S? "Walking all over" somebody who is not even really racing you is, well, kinda lame.
And yeah, 120mph on a public freeway is just stupid. Most cops will just throw your ass in jail and you could lose your license. And lastly, the Caliber SRT has 280+ hp and 260+ ft-lbs of torque. It is going to smoke a FR-S in a straight line race. So I am not sure what this would prove anyway. And yeah, when I think of fun sports cars, Dodge Caliber SRT is not even on the list... It has the Jeep Compass chasis and you sit up in the car like you would a small SUV... Ughh.. |

SRT-4 was alright as a car when it was the Neon. Dodge killed it when they made an SRT-4 Caliber. Thing is stupid fast, which is exactly that...stupid.
I heard a rumor that an SRT-4 Dart may be on the horizon. Would love to see the Caliber go away, its a failboat of a car. |

To be honest, Toyota/Scion/Subbie boards are always a TON more mature than the Dodge or Civic Fanboy boards.
