Cool WHAT WILL BE THE BEST TUNING TOOL FOR A NITROUS SETUP

HI IM NEW TO THIS FORUM AND THIS IS MY FIRST POST, SAYING THAT I HAD A QUESTION SEE IF ANY OF YOU GUYS WITH MORE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THIS CARS COULD HELP ME OUT. I HAD MY 2014 SCION FRS FOR 10 MONTHS NOW AND DURING THAT TIME I HAD NOTICED THE CAR HANDLES GREAT AND IS FUN TO DRIVE BUT IS SO SLOOOOOOW LOL. SO I STARTED WITH INSTALLING BORLA UEL HEADERS, TOP SECRET 2.5" UP PIPE AND 2.75" MID PIPE AND CATBACK ALL CATLESS, AND AIRAID COLD AIR INTAKE. THE CAR FELT A LIL QUICKER AFTER THAT AND HAVEN'T TUNE IT YET SO I GET A CHECK ENGINE FROM TIME TO TIME, LAST THING I DID WAS INSTALL A ZEX WET NITROUS KIT AND GAVE IT A TRY UNTUNE AND FELT IN LOVE WITH IT AFTER THAT I REMOVED AND BOUGHT ALL THE OTHER LIL THINGS TO MAKE IT LOOK NICE AND STUFF AND NOW HAVE COME TO THE HARD PART OF CHOOSING WHAT TO TUNE THE CAR WITH? MY FIRST CHOICE WAS TO USE A STANDALONE ECU TO BE ABLE TO CONTROL NITROUS COMPLETELY WITHOUT THE NEED FOR A WINDOWS SWITCH OR PROGRESSIVE CONTROLER, BUT AFTER TALKING TO ONE OF MY TUNER THE PRICE OF EVERYTHING WAS A LIL TOO HIGH FOR ME AND HE TOLD ME FOR JUST NITROUS IT WASN'T WORTH IT REALLY. MY SECOND CHOICE WAS TO TALK TO MY ECUTEK TUNER HERE IN SOUTH FLORIDA AND WASNT ALL EXCITED WITH THEM BECAUSE THEY HADN'T DONE ANY FRS OR BRZ ON BOTTLE BEFORE SO THEY COULD NOT HELP ME OUT TO MUCH WITH HOW MUCH I COULD SPRAY SAFELY AND WHAT THEY RECOMMENDED REALLY. SO NOW IM HERE HOPING TO GET SOME HELP FROM YOU GUYS AND SEE WHAT DIFFERENT PEOPLE WITH MY SAME CAR RECOMMEND I COULD ALWAYS GET A SEPARATED WINDOWS SWITCH OR PROGRESSIVE CONTROLLER BUT THAT WILL MEAN I HAVE MY ZEX MODULE CONTROLLING THE NITOURS AND FUEL THEN THE WINDOW SWITCH OR PROGRESSIVE CONTROLLING THE ZEX MODULE AND THEN WHICH EVER TUNING DEVICE I GET CONTROLLING THE REST I JUST SEE TO MANY MODULES WORKING TOGETHER AND THAT JUST WORRIES ME CUZ THERE ARE MORE THINGS THAT COULD GO WRONG AND ACTUALLY GO KABOOM!!!! WELL SAYING ALL THAT WHAT YOU GUYS RECOMMEND OH BTW I WILL BE SPRAYING AT LEAST A 100 SHOT AFTER I CHANGE PLUGS AND WILL LIKE TO TUNE ON E85 IF POSSIBLE. AND YES I HAVE SEARCH A LOT AND HAVENT FOUND TOO MUCH INFO IN AN FRS ON BOTTLE LOL

As far as I know only one other thread exists for a nitrous setup and I believe his car blew up.

you should be able to spray 200 shots all day w/o a tune or even without gas just straight NOS (hear modern cars respond well 2 that, do u know how many imperfections are in dinosaurs? and they are literally the main ingredient in oil and gas), dont see what the problem is

The master Subaru tech that works on my car contacted a nitrous express engineer to confirm all the information. Your pump will max out over a 50 shot and needs to be upgraded to at least 255 lph . the rpm window switch must be set 200rpms under the Rev limiter. Make sure you have a bottle warmer to maintain the pressure stable. Also over 50 shot you need a tune as the ignition timing needs to be retarded. The clutch limitations or having stock internals had nothing to do with this failure. Also the spark plugs need to be changed to 1 step colder for 75 shot and over. So as you can see this was not N2O's fault. As they say in the fast and the furious: amateurs don't use nitrous. ... And please take some time to actually read the instructions, plus consult professionals and not "garage tuners".
This is probably the most important post in the thread. Especially regarding the pump and make sure you run a window switch.

Get it tuned on e85 with a GOOD header (not Borla) before deciding if you need nitrous or not.

You'll easily pick up 30whp or more over what you currently have.

If you re-read what brz said, it's the tune and spark plugs, not clutch.

Why nitrous set up vs SC, Turbo, E85, All of the above?

Nitrous kits are a couple grand, aren't they? Why not just a Tune (Ecutek, oft, ect) And E85?

on-demand forced injection is very appealing to some. Properly setup, NOS kits are pretty trick for those who only want to shake off would-be ricer racers and some bigger rigs, but rarely race or track. The kit could be a couple grand, but that's still roughly half the price of most FI deals.

Ok, My question was more specifically why spend a couple of grand. If it's free and you can do it, sure. Why not? But I don't understand the 2-3 grand for a No2 kit when you can you spend ~$3100 and go legit FI if you put the leg work and research in. (one of our local car meet people did a SC kit)
