GTS owners... difference between 'sports' abd 'vsc sports' button?

any one notice much difference between the two buttons?

the sports button, when press has higher revs... and i can do this while driving and feel the difference right away.

the vsc sports button, i believe can only be activated when you are not moving? i know if u press it while driving the notification comes on, but there is no difference. i think i did see this in the owners manual.

what are your thoughts?

Haven't got my car yet but I remember reading:

- Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) Sports - limits the application of traction control to allow you to slide the car around more. Probably a safety feature not allowing it to be turned on while on the move.

- Sports - has faster and higher reving shifts in Drive mode (doesn't make a difference in Manual mode)

I remember when using sports mode when test driving, i notice it holds the revs longer when you let go of the pedal. also higher revs when when flooring it. =P

Vsc lowers the limit of traction.
Sports loosens the gears and is good for twisty roads where constant gear changes are required, manual doesnt have this button.
Traction off.. well that's traction all off and activates when under 40km/h or stopped and held for 5+ seconds, that's where the fun starts

Press the Traction button only, while stationary and it activates "Launch" mode which disables traction control until the vehicle reaches 40km/h, great for losing a little rubber on starts, it also stops the TCS from invading during a spirited launch.

Press the VSC button only and it will enter Sports mode, which lessens the impact of the TCS and Stability control systems allowing the driver a little more freedom when cornering. If you press and hold both buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds then the entire safety net is switched off. Allowing total freedom to slide the vehicle.

The above is true only for Manual transmissions, i have not driven the Auto yet nor seen one, so don't know anything about the Sport mode and the way it interacts with the transmission.

"Sport" is just transmission mode, nothing to do with traction control. VSC Sport button== Vehicle Stability Control. (Why do I get the urge to hide a supercharger clutch switch behind an AT's 'Sport' button in a manual..)
