Can confirm, I run 265/35 with a 38 offset on a 9.5 rim and -2.5 camber and I have more than enough room.

Yeah I didn't think I was asking for anything too crazy from them.

I'm running 265/35/18 on 18x9.5+40. KW V3's and lowered 3/4". I asked them to decrease the rear camber from factory settings to around -2° to -2.5° and they said there's no room on the inside to add more negative camber. I'll be swinging by their shop shortly to check it out.

Yea that's not true at all. My ST coils (a daughter company to KW) are able to run -2.5 in the rear no issue. That's with the stock top hats and control arms too! They might be saying they can't do it so you don't get upset with them later on down the line if your tread isn't wearing evenly... regardless, just tell them to make it happen haha.

You guessed correctly.

It was a miscommunication between the technician and the rep on the phone. Technician just wanted me to be aware of all of the 'problems' with cambering a wheel. The rep stated that there was no clearance to camber.

I requested -0.8°/-2.2° F/R. Hopefully that helps me clear the fender without adding too much tire wear.

They brought the rear camber down to -2.3° and the wheel is about flush with the fender now. I tested the fitment out by going up my driveway and when all the weight shifted to my left rear coil, I noticed I'm still having a ton of rubbing issues with the top of the fender hitting the tire sidewall.

I guess I'll look into rolling and pulling the fenders now? I didn't think my setup was aggressive enough to need that. Don't really want to add much more camber because my car is pretty much a DD and I don't want the excess wear.

Putting the coils and wheels on, guards are fully rolled, nice and soft in the '17 BRZ! As in factory rolled. Didn't need to do any! 9.5" wide +38

what tire are you running? Doesn't really sound right that things are rubbing.

fwiw, I ran -2.5 (hell I still am) and have minimal camber wear. I only notice that its more worn down on the insides when the tires are just about done anyway.

which wheel are you running as well? Maybe they aren't actually +40?

I'm running MPSS 265/35/18, wheels are Gramlights 57xtreme 18x9.5+40 with KW V3s. I've seen this exact setup on other cars which is why I'm so confused.

I had the camber adjusted to -1.8 and the tires really don't poke that much, but the fenders still hit the outside tire sidewall when the coils compress. I guess another option is to get stiffer springs or increase my compression settings?

The lip of the fenders are hitting the tire sidewalls when the springs compress. Did you manage to get the wheels to tuck inside the fender or did you just increase your compression settings?

So I read that @texasbound972 was/still is running a 275 tire... Since I'll be making roughly 450whp I would like to also go that route. BUT, not in the front.

So my question is:

Im planning on going with NITTO INVO tires and Tiresize.com has a chart with all the sizes you can go with. Ideally a 235/40 (819 rev/mile) and a 275/35 (814rev/mile) would be the way to go, but Ive never seen anyone run a 40mm difference in tire width. Would that cause bigger steering issues?

-OR-

Go with a 245/45 (779 rev/mile) and a 275/40 (780 rev/mile)... But they are much taller. I know my speedo will be off a bit, but besides that, is it really that big of a deal going this route?

Otherwise I would stick with the 275/35 (814 rev/mile) and go with a 245/40 (802 rev/mile).
