There are some. But the end of vaness is near pier 39 and Lombard at is off of vaness.. If you don't mine a little drive. Look for the sign 59 mile scenic drive. Follow those signs to tour sf. If your lucky, you'll be behind a tour bus who will talk about all the famous stuff on that route. Just don't miss the signs.

On that drive, does it have a lot of hills? Trying to stay away from hills as much as possible as I have a lowered car and a light weight flywheel and crank pulley

My bad it's 49 mile scenic drive. Not as many hills. Mostly flat but it will go to twin peaks and maybe coit tower. Check it out here.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/49-Mile_Scenic_Drive

It explains everywhere you pass by.

What I suggest is not taking your FRS on a drive around SF since your lowered. SF's roads are pretty harsh. The hills is something you shouldn't worry about. IT'S THE ROADS! Potholes and speed bumps here and there constantly. Since you are staying on Van Ness... you are doomed to potholes.

I drive down van ness everday and I am pretty dang low. Just gotta live by one rule. YOLO!

In all seriousness. SF really ain't that bad. Just keep a look out and drive conservatively.

Alice's Restaurant (hwy 35 and 84 junction) is a good place to hang if you are looking for spontaneous meets. Always a bunch of friendly people up there with an interest in different modes of transportation.

Man I thought LA roads were horrible but SF is pretty bad. Everyone was giving my car love in the city but it was hard to drive into some parking lots. Also going into the outside parking lot at candle stick park was scary. Though my body kit was going to rip off. Other then that it was a great time. Loved Big Sur

I'm glad you had fun up here, sorry the roads you took were bad. I only go into the city a couple times a year so I don't pay attention to roads there.

The local SF residents have all the potholes and bumps memorized on their daily commutes. When you see someone doing an X Y Z curve going straight, you know the roads are bad.

Yeah I would pretty much just fallow how the person in front of me. Also SF potholes aren't that bad, its the repair jobs that are as they Dont even try to smooth out the repairs. Anyway I made it out so I'm good. If Big Sur didn't take so long to go through I would have gone to that meet.
