To be honest, after reading everyone's thoughts on the automatic I kind of wished I would have bought one. I've been driving stick all my life, but I sometimes just want to let the car think for me.

This statement begs a question: What additional control do you have over your car that one of the twins with paddles doesn't?

Bought an automatic and don't regret it even though I know I'd be having twice as much fun. I'd rather hold my ladies hand!

Don't define your value based on others'. But ... I tested drive on both, and I chose manual because it has more fun to drive.

Unless your getting a gtr or a 458, why the hell would you ever get an automatic?!?!

More like dating one that prefers to be on top.

Sometimes I regret not getting the automatic, driving in traffic sucks, especially with alot of hills. I understand i dont have it as bad as others though.

Open roads and back country i prefer my MT trans though. Driver involvement is key.

More like dating dozens of high maintenance women (or men) and then marrying and settling in comfortably with the right one.

Some people forget that there are many that have driven manual all their life. It's not like they don't know the pros/cons, they just have other priorities now. This car is the right car to make the shift (a pun!) if you feel inclined.

I just drove an mt for the first time last month and hated it. No pedal feedback cuz everything was eay to light. If I showed up to the dealer to pick this up after sellibg my STi I would have prob regretted selling it. The clutxh adjustment along with a stiffer clutch would prob hell a ton, but I like my AT just fine.

1.) Launch control.
2.) Not really control, but the ability to modulate the throttle with the clutch engaged (putting the Auto in neutral just isn't the same).
3.) Not needing to press extra buttons to put the car in manual mode each time you drive.

That's how I think about it too. Or if I was richer and wanted a daily cruiser I'd get a Mercedes C63 that only comes with auto and be quite satisfied.
