Slicks are saving the drivetrains that's for sure, they have give in the sidewalls which helps reduce the shock load.

@Michaeljp92 was back at the track yesterday. Englistown for Street Wars and even though he was only allowed 2 runs due to the amount of cars he was still able to blast off a new personal best.

This is a bone stock motor, trans, rear diff, and ECU. P&L Motorsports Stage 1 Turbo Kit, Prime Motoring Flex Fuel Kit and Dyno Tune on e76 blend of fuel, full weight car. This is not a shop car and is in full street trim.

Will be taking mine to the track soon. Expecting upper 11's or low 12's with driver mod. Assuming I can bring driver mod to the track with me.

For reference, pulled away from a C6 slightly modded LS3 Vette the other night.

I wish I could legally drive my car on the street with slicks and skinnies, my street trim must have dot drag radials

Snapping axles is usually a sign of launching wrong, not too much power. With a ton of power you have to pre-load the whole drivetrain a bit or you'll snap things all over the place.

That's exactly what I'm working on. I even pulled the boot off the ebrake because it wasn't getting it's full use, the boot was also popping out of it clip slots.

Very true.. A soft sidewall usually helps with wheel hop which is a HUGE cause of broken axles.

These cars don't produce lots of torque so you're right.

Breaking anything in the rear is a sign of hooking. Which means you're doing something right. Launching wrong, like shifting wrong can break things, but it isnt the primary reason for things breaking.
