Just installed the MTEC clutch spring. Night and day difference. I would recommend this if the BRZ/FRS is your first manual car.

Looks awesome, did you fasten the lip with screws or just 3m tape?

Ended up just the 3m tape. Didn't want to have to drill two more holes.

I was skeptical at first, but yes it makes a difference. On the stock clutch spring, it felt like there were two parts when the clutch pedal would push back on your feet. The first part is from the pressure plate and the second half is from the clutch pedal spring. This seems to eliminate the last part. It’s hard to explain but it was a cheap mod. I hated the fact that I was not able to get a smooth engagement and I’ve been driving this car for over a half a year. You can try it out without the spring. Just reinstall it if you don’t like it without (use zip ties to compress the spring for easy install.) MTEC states that you need a clutch pedal spring so you don’t get increased wear on the inner seals.

Lost my STi front lip (non-OEM) on the highway

Was cruising behind a TSX at highway speed. I see them swerve to avoid something that I couldn't swerve for because I had cars next to me. It was a tire tread laying dead center in my lane and a part of it was sticking up in the air. My car isn't that low but it was enough for it to smack my lip and take it clean off. Just ordered a replacement from the same seller on ebay, $30 cheaper than it was when I purchased it last year.

No Bumper Damage? I ripped half of my OEM Sti lip off and my bumper has two spider cracks in paint and the bumper damaged the fender paint where the two meet.

Oh, and a crack in the bumper where the lip bolted to it.

Fortunately no bumper damage at all. The only surviving 'pieces' of the lip were where the screws drilled into the little piece in the fender-well part of the bumper: there was a small piece of plastic with the screw going through it on each side. All of the 10 or so screws from the bottom part of the bumper ripped clean out. Hoping I didn't pop one of my tires in the process by running over one of the screws..going to see if my TPMS light comes on tonight.

This is the same front lip from the same seller I bought last April @ $100, being sold now for $70. http://www.ebay.com/itm/281439121420...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I bought the rear lip from a seller on the boards who as far as I know is still selling them. Can't remember who, but they are selling for $70-$100 shipped IIRC.

@Subie_Nubie, seller for rear diffuser is Advan-Emotion
