The 2006 civic si dynos at 192hp stock. The k20 reacts well to bolt ons. Users with bolt-ons and tune are pushing 240 WHP. A turbo or SC setup would easily hit 300 and be safe on the tranny and engine. This is why people build hondas

As for the lower redline on the new type r... Sucks that it's not higher but I've seen worse. Maybe we can get it up in the aftermarket. I have a buddy with a k20 SC setup revving to 10k ... *Drool*

I already know they respond well to mods, especially breather n/a mods. The motors are definitely better than ours as this point. But saying 300hp is "easily achievable" is a different statement. I can put a SC on any motor and make 300hp. Ours already do that.

The problem lies on the FWD, torque steer, and trying to get the car to hook up with relatively thin tires. With 300hp and ~250tq

Let keep this on topic on the NEW CTR, not some old k20 motor

So aside from the lights, what has changed? Well, the production car loses the conceptís cool blade-like LED daytime-running lights and the headlight cluster is also a lot more conventional looking; the LED blades are replaced with old-school projector lamps.

I'll agree with you on that note

You're bat sh*t crazy if you think a 06 civic dyno's 192 WHP stock when its rated @ 197 to the crank by honda. Bolt on's and a tune you could see 192 whp.

but in conclusion GTFO

IMO it looks like something you'd see in an early fast & furious movie. What the hell is all the aero, wing, diffuser..carbon with shiny shit what is that. Seriously its got nothing AT ALL to do with the R badge.

The engine is coming to the US, what they will put it in is the mystery...?

Show me something in the F&F movies that looks like the new Type R

It's functional aero, though.

Painting a picture, not really interested in pointing out anything.. I've never seen a production car with that much aero and excuse my terminology by aero i mean side molding, flared fenders, diffusers, wing... unless exotic. I'm sure its functional i would expect nothing less from an R vehicle but damn.. still a little aggressive for my taste. Maybe euro specs are different, moving on though.

Looks like that picture of the ft86 which never went into production, is this the real deal or not official production car yet? IDK it just doesn't seem like it'll look that way once its produced.

Are you serious?

Show me a FF movie that didn't have outlandish aero on a car.

Says the guy rocking Rotas.... Seriously? In the real world, aero is extremely important for track cars. This is meant to be a track car. You should be happy they put that much research and engineering into it.

All useless clutter aside interested to see what the production car will look like, between this and the focus rs things are looking a lot more interesting for car enthusiasts.
