Lol.. the newbies... Always waiting for the better one to come along.. Enjoy the price increase and your 2 new bolts..! I'm sure it will be worth the wait and cost.. When they go to a 2.5L , then it's time to get excited and pay a little more..

Going to a 2.5L won't stop the complaints. All it will do is shift what folks complain about…the price is too high…they should have gone turbo…the new more powerful engine has destroyed the resale value of older model cars, etc.

Good point.

Most on NASIOC were disheartened when they found out the new STi was going to be using the same engine it had since 2004 basically. This, however, isn't going to stop anybody from buying them because of the ability to get so much out of the engine and car together. The complaints will only be brought up for "Remember when everybody said ..." arguments.

If you don't know that already, you don't drive the car hard enough and probably shouldn't worry about it.
Hold up... zero lift? Last I heard it has quite a bit of lift front and rear. Plus, I've heard quite a few people complain about instability at highway speeds. Now, that could be caused from a lot of things though.

I do like me some "Master and Lord of the Four Winds Ginsu technology" though.

Well, near zero lift/lift reduction.

Where'd you hear that? Certainly goes against my experience and I know the boys at CSG have similar sentiments which goes with the actual design of the car.

The only thing that strikes me as being unstable is the stock damping/valving of the basic suspension for certain road conditions. Looks like Toyota got Sachs to try to deal with that for '15.

The tires having low grip with a tail happy bias is just part of the character built into the car so that shouldn't count. Maybe some people are used to cars weighing less than 3000lbs without big wings.

What's you opinion? Is the 86 unstable at higher speeds to you?

Well, I've only driven it a few times on a stretch of highway and I don't recall it being unstable. I would prefer a bit more feel/feedback though. Surprisingly, my Evo X MR seems kind of unstable at high speeds to me, despite it's large grippy tires, aggressive suspension, and downforce, but my old Eclipse GSX is rock solid. And it could be coincidence but it seems like most cars with a MacPherson Strut front suspension always seem a bit more unstable at higher speeds than cars with a double wishbone/multi-link based front suspension.

Well the article said 2015. That could mean we will see something in 2015, but it won't be on the market until 2016.

Changes will be coming to the '2015' Model Year GT86 and most likely the FR-S MY 2015. Nothing ever mentioned 2016
