Ya, but what is the significance of that and what does this mean "I think people don't understand that, this car cost about close to or little over 30k after tax"?
Did I miss the context someplace? Not ragging you I truly don't get where you are coming from or what the point is.

Today, I found a pile of potato chips next my my WRB BRZ in the parking lot at the end of the day. As though some (likely large, slow witted, slow moving) fellow stood there, mezemerized by my car, sloppily eating his chips - and unfortunately, missing his mouth on many attempts to eat his chips. It makes me kind of sad to think about. But happy that he didn't get greasy fingerprints on the car.

This should be the next BRZ or FRS commercial.

I am sure most of us here was looking into cars in range of mid 40k car and afford it.
Don't let haters hate for your enjoyment.

When people see someone driving a hot car, some of them make assumptions about the driver. They often decide that you don't deserve it, or that you wasted your money on it, and that it's any of their business. Some of them think it's their job to "teach you a lesson" by driving aggressively around you. After all, you're an asshole for driving such a car (regardless of how you actually drive it), so you deserve to be punished.

When I drive my Jeep or one of my family's cars, I don't have nearly as many issues with assholes. My Jeep is a lot louder than the BRZ, and I probably drive a little more aggressively in it than in the BRZ. If it were reaction to driving style, I should get more negative attention with the Jeep. But I don't, because it's old and beat up, and none of the busybodies realize how much money is tied up under the hood that I don't "deserve" to have there.

I've been through this off and on through the years. When I had my Triumph, it was actually vandalized a few times by assholes who didn't think I deserved to be driving it. Nothing like that ever happened with my Mazda pickup. It happened with my Corvette. It never happened with my S10. It never happens with any of the vanilla rentals I drive.

Fuck those assholes. I'm not going to park my hot car just because some stupid piece of shit decides he or she has any right to judge my choice.

Ok I thought it may have been along that line but the wording made me think I was missing something.

The BRZ looks like an expensive sports car, so you may have a point.

I am an executive chef in Florida at a golf course. Even the sand hill cranes disrespect my car. They walk up to the side of it, see their own reflection and start attacking it like a chubby kid attacks a cheesecake. I swear....if they weren't a protected species, I'd be out in the parkinglot playing real life ANGRY BIRDS. With my foot.

It's either I don't notice it but I have never had any problems with folks on the road because of my 86. The only thing I notice is people looking at the car sometimes but that's it. The other thing is in Atlanta the drivers aren't the best but I don't think it's car specific.
