yep vgi's maf scaling utility is rearly good its got help screens as well.

while you can do the open loop manually you might as well let the utility do it for you.

Could probably make a bit more by targeting a bit richer to allow a little more timing advance. Dyno chart looks quite good though. Why the request at 6600? Due to the way the power drops off? If so, not much you can do.
Yes, because of power drops from 6600 rpm.
I've tried several timings using vgi's tool, but not much diffetence in actual acceleration.

I'd try adding half a degree of ignition advance across the power band in the high load areas since your log loos to be relatively knock free, then go from there. Take a log with the increased ignition advance trim back timing in areas where you are registering knock corrections or add more advance if you think it can handle more.

Personally I've seen notable increase in whp by increasing ignition timing only .3* to.7* in the right spots on the powerband. Though I'm not sure whether if your butt dyno is going to feel a 5-10whp increase at the top end, to be honest.

butt dyno feels easier fixing of torque dip then +5whp imho.

+5-10 whp at the 3500~4500 range really hits the butt dyno

Hi All,

I've been running a modified OFT tune on my car and logging like crazy trying to follow Wayno's Guide to dialing in a base tune.

Here where I live we only get 95 Ron (yes pretty shit)

Can someone have a look at this log and tell me what they think. So basically the AFR and Commanded AFR look good, IAM consistently on 1.

I'm not to sure about the LTFT?

I'm also seeing FLKC hitting -1.95/-2.25 in this log.

Here is my log:

Yep that flkc over 5500 is knock. don't worry too much about the -0.65 but the stuff over -1 needs sorting out.

on your fuel I would try adjusting the PI/DI fueling ratios so you run full Direct injection until 7200 rpm.

look at the PI/DI ratio tables in the E85 fuel roms and change the axis as is done in those (all three tables cold/warm/hot

running the DI up to 7200 help with knock on your fuels.

we did this for @sav with good results, assume your in south africa

as per the bottom table

The ltft is a bit off at lower rpm might be extremes of temp causing that, if it does not selle down you might want to do a bit of maf scaling

also your running a bit leaner than commanded AFR ie your measured AFR is leaner than Commanded (what ecu is asking for) so again a bit of maf scaling will help you as you will run a bit richer higher rpm which will help with knock

Thanks Steve, been reading through alot of things you posted too.

How exactly do I go ahead and change the Axis?

just same as changing table values, just type in new value ;-)

Hello all, I'm new to OFT and I am super excited about this little tablet. I flashed it (so easy) and drove about 15-20 miles of normal driving and then I did a few logs. I have a 2013 BRZ and I am running a JDL UEL, catted midpipe and catback with a k&n filter so I loaded up the Stage 2 UEL tune

look fine
tiny bit of knock but only minor iam is solid at 1

once you get more familiar and if your kean you could switch in the JDL UEL specific cam timing into your tune

Intake and Exhaust VVT CAM tables for JDL UEL catless headers.

you will need to use romraider see links below

Hoping someone may have a little better idea what's going on here than I do.

http://datazap.me/u/cjd/log-14597179...=0&data=1-8-12

Went out for a drive today and things got a little weird - first odd thing I noticed was horrible bogging when trying to get the car moving from a stop - I'd guess the car had just warmed up fully at that point, but I started logging. It also didn't repeat itself. Seemed responsive on the highway, unfortunately the WOT pulls I got didn't save (I guess I dismissed a screen I should not have when it hit the log length limit...) but I got the few miles home from the highway.

LTFT is a clear problem - I was watching it early on (before I started logging and after the first log was started) and it seemed to be -2 to -3 when I was at stoplights. Since things seem normal-ish any time throttle is applied, I'm suspecting perhaps an intake leak? I checked for any signs of exhaust leak when I was doing an oil change the other day (engine oil and transmission oil both) but I also lifted the engine a bit to do motor mounts, so... maybe I damaged something on the exhaust side, though of course something on the intake side could have been messed up too.

Thoughts?

High positive fuel trim can be indicator to exhaust leak, or cracked header. 02 sees fresh air at lower rpm between exhaust pulses.Ecu thinks its lean adds fuel via fuel trims.Looks like you have some knock as well at lower rpm causing iam to drop to 0.7 are you on 91 or 93 fuel ?
