There's an "always on" module you can buy that's plug-n-play by Diode Dynamics.

IIRC, that's for the boomerangs not the fog lights.

i recently just had a really good experience with a lighting guy on here. his name is HeresMyMind. i bought a set of second hand yellow fog lights from him and after talking to him for a while i found out he does a lot of custom work and wiring/retrofitting, etc. you could reach out to him and he might have a solution for you.

You will need a dedicated switched 12v source so lights will get power only when car is running. You could also buy fog light wiring kit and run it separate from the OEM wiring.

So then it's probably a matter of the right relay part number...

This idea keeps coming back... check out the older threads. The important question, rather than how, is... WHY?!?!?

Headlights make it worse. Foglights make it better. I would love to drive with just the leds and the fogs when it's misty.

If it's misty, you've got your wipers on. If your wipers are on, you've got your headlights on (at least in my state). Then.. foglights. I can't think of a situation where I'd like my fog lights on but NOT my lo-beams. Hi-beams definitely make things worse, but low beams plus fogs are a winning combination unless you're doing 5 mph. Just my opinion.. and the law where I live.

Yeah CT law says headlights on even if it's overcast but the intent behind the law is visibilty. You can be seen just fine without your HIDs.

Point taken... but try arguing with the FAA about the "intent" behind article 14, part 117. Plus, and in my mind way more importantly, I can see better with my lo-beams and fog-lights on simultaneously. Properly mounted and aimed fog lights help illuminate the lane/road edges/sides and immediate forward path.. say, half a second or so unless you are crawling forward at walking speed... the lo-beams take care of the next second or two forward. Perfect combo. Sure, I could put a rotating beacon on my roof and be seen, but so what.. that hardly matters if I can't see what's in front of me in fog and drive off the road.

No?
