Had to look that one up. Dude drove 60K/year plus another 450K on a 780 Volvo and who knows how much on his C70. He spent at least 3 hours/day in a car on Long Island, itself an achievement defying the gods. Cool plate, prolly inscribed on his headstone too.

I learned it after six months of new Fiat X1/9 ownership and that was the least of its problems. The dealer told me that it took about a week and $900 in parts to prep any Fiat for delivery. Presciently, he couldn't take it and voluntarily terminated the franchise before Fiat's US exit leaving locals with orphans but he was dualled with Toyota so no loss financial loss for him.

When I got this car I was commuting 56 miles each way 5 days a week. My commuter car was doing a minimum of 23k just going to work and then with personal and family duties I'd do at least 33k/yr and our other car was seeing 10-12k/yr but my wife drove at least half of that. Had I still been at that job this car would be nearing 200k now. My new gig as a sales rep should add 30+k this year and if things are successful at least that much next year which will see it getting close to 200k.

I think in general, the mileage comes down to an owner's dedication to the car, not really how long it can go for. Even rust can be repaired if it means enough to you.

Really looking forward to a half million in this car.

Nah it is the colour.

They had to come up with wild names in the 70s so you could distinguish between the 30 different choices.
Now they just need to say black, white and silver for about 95% of the cars on the road.
