Error code P0171 P0170 and P171b came up

So I recently installed my avo turbo and it was all working good up till 3 weeks later when error codes p0171 and p0170 popped up. I than refreshed the the ecu and the light was gone for a good 7hrs and the the p0171 came on, and this morning the P0171, P0170, and P171b came up. Its basically saying my car is running lean and rich. When I installed the turbo I noticed the gasket that connects the over pipe to the rest of the exhaust had a slight gap in it. I highly believe this could be the issue. I cleaned the MAF sensor, checked all the vacumme lines, checked for any signs of leaks. I've been keeping an eye on the afr using the raw data display through torque and it's been acting kind of funny, like it wants to stay at 4:7:1 but every now and then goes a little lower.

That leak (Over Pipe to Exhaust) is post O2 sensor, so I am sure that isn't causing the problems. It should only be at 14.7:1 at idle and while cruising or at light throttle. Are you running an AVO basemap? Have you done any logs with EcuTek?

Like King Tut said, you don't want to be running 14:1 at WOT.

What tune do you have flashed on your car?

Haven't done any logs yet, and sadly I'm only using a base map

A code P0171 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • The MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor is dirty or faulty
Note: The use of "oiled" air filters may cause the MAF to become dirty if the filter is over-oiled. There is also an issue with some vehicles where the MAF sensors leak the silicone potting material used to protect the circuitry.
  • There could be a vacuum leak downstream of the MAF sensor
  • Possible cracked vacuum or PCV line/connection
  • Faulty or stuck open PCV valve
  • Failed or faulty oxygen sensor (bank 1, sensor 1)
  • Sticking/plugged or failed fuel injector
  • Low fuel pressure (possible plugged/dirty fuel filter!)
  • Exhaust leak between engine and first oxygen sensor

Sound like you've got a lot going on there but even if you have no other gauges, the torque(pro) can show you afr(c) commanded and afr(m) measured so you can see where the ecu is trying to get to vs where you are. Add the boost gauge to that display and it might give you a better idea what's going on with the afr and when.
Hows the idle? afr 14.7 and boost at -18 is what mine says.

I also have the avo base map and if anything it runs rich when getting into boost. Always goes right to 11.2 which is the lowest I think the ecu can register so probably really going lower than that.

It's worth it to pull a ecutek log and you don't even need to do WOT pulls to redline to get something useful to look at.

You don't say. I am assuming you used the new provided AVO gaskets and you checked the levelness of the header.

@Sportsguy83
Bro, if you have any type of leak on your AVO manifold, it's because improper install AND/OR using improper gaskets... There is no way on earth its anything else. Shame on you @Astroboy either way.....

I like to live on the edge, but I also don't want to blow my engine... Anyways I just ordered some new gaskets from avo. Would it be bad to run this car for a month like this? It's my dd. as soon as I get them I'm going to install them

No problem. Tighten up the nuts as best you can and run it. I don't remember if they are locking nuts or not, but perhaps you could add a lock washer.

That depends on what caused the gasket leak.

I mean no disrespect at all, but did you forget to tighten down a header bolt initially? If so, then your header is probably fine and once everything is re-tightened down properly it should be okay until the new gaskets arrive.

If you did install it 100% correctly and it blew out a gasket that early while throwing codes, I would take a look at the header itself before anything else.
