Here you can see the rims in a matt black design.
Hope you'll like it.

Cool, thanks! I appreciate it. Hmm...I think I may stick with the silver. I think with the silver, you can at least see that style/outline of the rims better. Black doesn't look bad either, but doesn't look as good as I had thought it might. =/

I like the silver. My issue with black is it blends in with the tire making it harder to see and it doesn't look clean/classy.

great point. I've been debating the same topic in my head. I think you may have just convinced me to stay away from black.

Yeah man. It's a tough decision . I love black. It will make the car look more mean and rugged if that's what you want.

I kinda have to keep mine professional looking due to work. I've got to sell my lime green rims after 600 miles because of this job. That wouldn't go over too well I think

Yea, I can agree with the professionalism point. For me, I work in engineering, so there is a sense of professionalism to uphold, but at the same time, the company does off-highway ag and construction equipment, and there are a ton of car guys around me, so most of them would be accepting...

I like the black, but I kinda think its just the style of today, in a year or two I might out grow it. I'm seriously thinking gold, but I could be convinced otherwise for the same point. I could play it safe and just put some decent rubber on the stock wheels...got some thinking to do...

'02 WRX BBS Wheels

Anyways here are some photos I took with the new rims on!

I have the same wheels that I kept from my '02 WRX, I got like six of them. These are very light about 15 lbs.each, talk about the unsprung weight from the stock wheels . But this gives me an idea how would they look when mounted on the BRZ and it looks very nice. How do they feel when you drove your car around? I was thinking to have these mounted with some Continental ExtremeContact DWS or Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Position and use them for the Summer.

Great choice in wheels - I have the Forester version of the BBS's (17x7 +48) on my car. Weight with tyre mounted (Contisportcontact 5 225/45R17) was 16.6kg - accounting for 9.3kg worth of tyre, this means the rim is approx 7.3kg (or 16lb)

My set were pretty crunched when I picked them up (came off a car which was imported solely for parts), so I had them refinished in a gunmetal colour which was a happy medium between the original silver and black. Terrible lighting in this shot but you get the idea:

I've since picked up a lifetime supply of Regamasters to run as street wheels, so will be retiring these to track duties. Still look great on the car though!
