You could read the info I linked.

Doesn't matter if he is in England.
If he is in London, Ontario he can bring it by and show me.

You could read the question I asked. I know the differences between the two engines, they are well publicized. I wanted to know if the part was different and how/why. For example, if they are made of different materials, does the aluminum one disperse heat better which is needed for the revised engine. Why is this relevant? If you have an engine with the regular cover, wouldn't better heat dispersal be a good thing as an upgrade? So, can you answer the question or are you only looking for opportunities to try and slight someone? Or perhaps this is just one of those 33 posts you must do each day....

Well if you actually read the fucking thing instead of being your normal obnoxious self you would see the answers were there.
Here let me narrow it down for you.

I heard 2017 engine is so much more improved. Is that true? Maybe OP can just swap the engine with 2017 version. It would be awesome! Anybody has done this swap before? Or it could be possible to replace intake and exhaust manifolds with the new versions. I am already liking this idea!

You're right. My apologies.... My assumption is that if that manifold is put on the non-manual version, it won't work because of other changes in the engine. In fact, it might not even fit. Again, I was just looking for a possible upgrade opportunity...

Well considering that the sum total of all the changes including internals, exhaust, intake system and tune was only 5HP then there would be virtually zero benefit to changing just one component. We never have found any truly sensible reason why all the changes were not made to the autos but it is probably safe to assume it was strictly due to some emissions control reason.

I know there are guys here that put the red (and expensive) manifold on the earlier engines. Doubt it did anything but change the color.

The only reason the STI was faster than the WRX is because it had a red manifold.
