LOL but my diffuser is going to be absurdly complex. Excuse my drunkeness. I don't know where I live right now.
haha, I was pretty confused

well, that's not super exciting although I guess leave it to you to have a light weight solution (you sure those zip ties aren't gonna be too much) :P

I'll shave a few layers off first, of course.

Can someone please compile all of the info in this thread? Please organize, or sort them some way, and include pictures too. Some comments are off topic, and this thread has gotten quite long. That would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I searched this thread quickly and didn't see anything. Does anyone know what the BRZ limited spoiler weighs?

I don't know who the 3 pound battery guys are but this is my 5.25 pound battery clamp solution:

Did you make that custom? What's the specific battery?

YES!! That was my own handy work. (I didn't know I was such a do-it-myself kind of guy). I found some aluminium bar in the shed, drilled out as many holes as I could along the center line then attacked it with a file. Painted it using a paint pen. Under the bar is a piece of plywood (also paint penned) and under the ply is a piece of Sorbothane. The battery sits on some more Sorbathane then some more plywood. This means that the battery is sandwiched between Sorbothane; no vibration getting through. The battery is a Voltphreaks VPH 750. Beside its weight the thing I like about this battery is if the voltage drops below a certain value it switches itself off. I have come back to the car after it sitting for about 2 weeks, opened the bonnet, pressed the button which you can just see in the pic (with green led) and car started no worries.

(Mmmmm, that turned into quite a story, I wonder if I can sell the movie rights.)

I had a one piece fibre-glass seat in my previous car. The snugness was awesome! It is about the only thing I am disappointed with my BRZ. I can't replace the standard seat with a one piece and keep it legal

subbing to this thread. I'm a mad scientist when it comes to weight reduction.
We just got our 2014 Asphalt auto (yes, auto!) two weeks ago today and have 1,400 miles on her. We're interested in losing weight and trying to maintain F/R balance.

FR-S Stock vs PST CF Driveshaft comparison:

FR-S Stock OEM 2 piece driveshaft

FR-S PST CF one piece driveshaft

Haven't run it on track yet so no data to compare. I will get a chance to see if it makes any noticeable performance difference on the 29th at Chuckwalla.

Holy crap! I took off some of the plastic nonsense from my dash yesterday and threw it on the floor in the living room because I was in a hurry. I just now picked it up and was about to put it in storage, when I came across my usual thought: "wait... I should weigh this, even though it's not very heavy."

Mind. Blown.

13.763 pounds worth of plastic nonsense!
02.038 pounds worth of sun visors
04.188 pounds worth of head unit + 4 bolts
