I'm really on the fence for the Joying Android 5.1 Universal 7" : https://www.carjoying.com/android-5-...rt-revers.html

People who have the 5.1.1 Joying Universal HUs..

1) Is there any noticeable bugs or complaints you have? Is there an off the shelf spacer that can fill the gap on left and right?

2) Is the RK3188 enough power to not lag? especially when running google maps while playing music? I am also considering the Octacore InDashNet due to performance and looks but it seems too new and less support.

3) What output connections are available on this? It looks like there is an SD card in the front and you can use two adapters to use the factory AUX and USB locations?

After parsing through a couple of pages I think I got an idea of the process, can someone help me confirm the following is all I need?

1) Purchase 2016 5.1.1 Universal 7" double din
2) Purchase Joying Aftermarket Toyota Harness
3) Purchase Toyota USB cable adapter to plug into original USB slot.
4) Purchase Antenna Adapter for Radio
5) Sand/file away some edges to make the OEM brackets to fit.
6) Remove pin 8 and move to pin 9 (amp).
7) Everything else is plug and play?

And lastly take a visit to OEM Audio+ to get my DSP retuned for this guy?? Hopefully that's it as it sounds pretty simple.

Thank you!

I will say that minus the screen resolution and size most of these units have the same internal specs regarding hardware. Honestly I would wait for the Toyota universal unit to come out because it just looks stock.

Yeah after doing more research that is what I will be doing. As of now it does not look like ANY manufacturer has one for Toyota (200mm x 100mm panel) with Android 5.1+

Do you have such a rumor for a Toyota Universal unit? Do you know a time frame?

No idea, there is a guy that is a rep for Joying USA that has an account on here and has posted a few times in this thread you may want to try asking him for an update.
