Thanks it has shortest distance from turbo to the engine, so the least amount of piping. I drive mine to work everyday. And getting 23-25mpg on e85 @360hp and 310tq. My car pulls hard up top in the power band.

honestly i wouldnt be surprised if this motor spools better than the srt4. i used to work on allot of them and that 8.8:1 cr sucked balls for spool. the air flow in the heads was sub par as well. compared to where the imports were at in 03-05 years when the srt4 was at its peak. heads and CR make a major difference on low hp builds than anything else when it comes to spool.

I would actually love to see this used with the divided housing and a quick spool valve. but on pump gas the exhaust housing you are using should work well. If you have plans for more flow later e85 / built motor then you may want to look at a little bit larger exhaust housing. I love that people are looking into a bit larger turbos now as I personally feel they work great for a daily car. I would really like to install one of the FA20 clubs kits to see how they are first hand with a 60 trim or there 3071 or 3076 options. For an off the shelf kit I am really digging it and glad a manufacturer brought a larger turbo option to the table with a budget in mind (this in no way means to down talk or speak poorly towards other kit manufacturers as I like the design of most of the kits offered for different reasons).

I don't think that's a good argument. I can build 2 litre engines which are at 1.5 bar boost by 2500 rpm and go on to make over 300bhp. With a compression ratio of ~7.5:1.

This gives me high hopes for my kit! I loved my srt but fwd was so limiting and a 245 was the widest you could go, no to mention eating input shafts and transmission gears, glad i was able to move on...

I'm hoping with the help of fa20club.com and a boat load of cash i can get back to where i was with the srt power wise. That sir would put a huge smile on my face and a tingling in my ball sack!

Too many guys are way too hung up on when the turbo becomes "spooled". All this means is that you have achieved full boost. You need to remember that with a large turbo you are stuffing more air per psi into the engine than you are with a smaller one, so at those lower rpms before you hit spooled state, that big turbo could easily be making enough power to meet your goals. That is what you really need to be concerned about: how much air is my turbo moving at xxxx rpm? There are lots of guys out there making big power in the upper rpms with no loss in driveability using turbos that at first glance might seem way too big. Of course there is a point where a turbo can get so large that the engine simply doesn't create enough exhaust pressure to properly spin it, so don't get carried away with the sizing either.

How much is turbo location going to effect spool? Seems like ptuning is getting very good response from their 3076. I wonder how much of that is the rear/low location vs. say a fa20club header location.

I have a vband billet 3071 laying around but can't decide if it's too big for the car on low boost. 6psi seems stupid when I was running it at 27psi on my gti

You could easily do 10-12 psi on 93 and almost 20 on e85

I guess I should specified. I'm not really looking to make more than 300whp. I already had a car that was overbuilt and made too much power. I want a fun car at hpde not a drag car.

Sorry to thread jack.

10 psi would put you at 300-350 whp
