There is nothing, not one element, of the looks of this car this is not hammered shit.

Some of the concept cars look almost decent. Can't have that.

Wow. I can't believe the rear end can look that much worse than the already shitty front. It reminds me of the Pontiac Aztec.

That car went all the way up the chain of approval for production. I'm revising my expectations of how ugly the 86 will become.

Why does this car not have a front end like that? Surely it needs one, or people will not think its aggressive enough.

Not nearly as bad as the Priusformer. A little FR-S in that back end, as well.

Of all the issues people have, finding something to rest your arm on should not be a problem.
This is spot on.

If you want an armrest get a boring Audi or something. Sports cars are meant to be driven.
Weight reduction is key in a sports car, not interior amenities that serve the granny-driving-style whooses ffs.

In fairness the car is not always driven as a sports car even by people that bought it as a sports car. Sometimes (most of the time?) it is just driven as a car.

But...

If you want an armrest then just go buy an armrest. It is an option after all. Why should everybody be saddled with something they don't want or would not use? This goes for many of the " the car should come with the factory with..." stuff people complain about. If they made every change that every individual wants it would be a costly tank or a race car that nobody could drive on the streets. The guys that designed it and came up with the features that it does have did a great job of meeting the mid point of race car and DD as far as I am concerned. If anybody wants to swing the balance one way or the other there is nothing stopping them.

Lol, yo. I didn't think I'd see you on here, let alone have you respond to me.

But yeah, you're preaching to the choir. I'm aware of these things. I was just skeptical because I was only comparing it to aftermarket equivalents which are lighter and more expensive. I didn't think about OEM manufacturing being held to different standards and requirements (perhaps for wheel strength/rigidity in this case which explains the heavier weight) and cost structures in supply and scale as I should have.

I agree. And to add, the armrest lovers should question themselves: Where is my hand when I just sit in a simple chair?

I agree with the Tcoat, too.

But, when I sit in a simple chair without armrests, and it's not in front of a desk or table, I have nowhere to place my elbows and it annoys the crap out of me.

So I ordered this off eBay and put it in when I took delivery of my beloved '13 GT86. It's been there since. No big deal. This is not what the car is about.

I guess I meant it that Tada should say that only because of the complaints. How hard is it to DIY an armrest built just for yourself, for cheap?
