WRX Intake Port Divider Plates?
I was helping my friend clean the goop out of the intake ports on his 2015 WRX with 94k miles this past Sunday. All four intake ports had these "divider plates" that slid pretty deep into the cylinder head. They seemed to match up with the "dividers" in the intake manifold. What is their purpose? Are they part of the TGV system? Should we have removed them as part of the TGV delete we did while the intake was off? Attached are a few pictures of the plates for clarification.
Thanks, Jeff |
