They shrunk back to their original size and there was absolutely no evidence a decal had been there.

If you're thinking of covering your visors you might try this first. It would be worth the effort. If it worked (I haven't tried it on my FR-S) you would have got by with a lot less work. If it didn't work you could still go with your plans to recover them.
Thanks for the info. When someone attempts the re-wrap, could they try this and report back?

Did you leave the mirror flap uncovered simply due to clearances?
I did not attempt the mirror, as (1) I hadnt thought about it lol, and (2) now that I look at it, I dont know how clean/factory looking I could make it look once you open the mirror(because of the excess fabric that would get folded over. I will take a look today though!

Thank you, I'll make a note in the original post!

Could someone send me/post up some photos of the brz visor? Or, better yet, be in San Diego and I could then look at it myself?

If it did or didn't work it would be good to pass it on either way.

Got this finished last night. Thanks for the great writeup!

The faux suede I got matches the headliner almost perfectly. Cant really tell the difference unless you touch both materials and compare.

Great job! The only thing is the mirror cover looks out of place, I wonder how hard it would be to cover that?

Great write up man. BRZ is pretty similar, just a couple wires to deal with.

Do you have any details on safe and easy ways to remove and reinsert the wires on the BRZ. I am going to do this one weekend and was wondering how the wires looked before I decided to unscrew the visors and tackle this project.

It's a bitch. You have to assemble the visor and fish them through the hinge hole.
