This thread is so unnecessary and can be surmised as this:

When you get locked out call AAA! Had you read the manual you would've known that when you lock the car with the key fob it assumes you are out of the vehicle. As part of a security measure if someone decides to crack the glass and use the buttons to open the trunk too. It disables it on some vehicles as part of the immobilizer function.


Secondly,Why are you using the fob inside the car in the first place? To prove that the trunk button doesn't work when the fob locks the car? Also that "pumpy pillow thing" puts the frame-less windows at unnecessary risk and strain.


How about keep an extra key somewhere then using the keyhole in the trunk? and avoiding a AAA call

Some people don't have AAA. Some people don't memorize the finer details of the manual. Some people like to solve their own problems. Some people like to share their solutions to their rather specific problems, even if it makes them look silly. Then again, some people aren't going to waste more than 5 sentences discussing the merrits of a dead and gone thread.
