Here's how the car looks with both rims and tires on. Not really happy with the speed sensor issue as its causing me to use a front tire size that im not exactly thrilled about. Will start doing research on coilovers later tonight. Anyone know of a coilover setup that has NO Minimum Drop? The slick I want to run is about an inch taller so I need the extra room.

Sizes are:
Front 225/45/18
Rear 285/40/18

Edit: @TrogDor the Burninator

Here is the side pic. Going to roll the fenders once I drop the car

Do you have a profile view from the rear or from above the rear tires? Seems like at that off set and size of wheel/tire that you have poke outside the fender in the back. Trying to get an idea of the amount of camber you would need to get the wheels inside the fender. Simply lowering the car might not provide enough natural camber to get them inside the fender without some rolling or some RLCAs or bushings.

Yup +48 all the way around, but Ive temperately got a 5mm spacer in the front until I get coilovers.

Dont have a better pic that the fist one i posted, but ill take some more next time I drive the car. As it sits right now, I can lower the car in the back without a problem since there really isnt any poke. I plan on rolling the fenders once I figure out the coilover situation, but thats mainly because I plan on running a bit taller tire (Slick) later down the road.

I'm all for the idea but I have to say that as the car sits, it's full of fail. I know you've mentioned front tire size not being what you wanted, but wtf? The rear looks like a dune buggy and the front is just your typical stanced/crapped out stretched tire. Running that wheel and tire combo, especially going 285 rear, what in the world would compel you to put them on before you get coilovers, camber plates, and rear lca's installed?

I currently have 18x9.5 +40 Forgestar F14s with 265/35/18 Michelin PSS's mounted sitting in my garage. They've been there for a couple of weeks. I have freshly powdercoated RacerX Fabrication rear LCA's sitting in my room. I'm waiting on a small bushing issue to be fixed in the front that will give me the most clearance.

I specifically chose to wait to put my wheels on until all of the issues were addressed and the correct hardware was installed. I'm waiting until the car is properly set up. I'm really disappointed to see an attempt to squeeze 285s on the car being prepped so poorly.

^your modding ideas and reasoning are not HIS. WHO ARE YOU to say whats right ant wrong here. you two more likely than not have difference goals in mind, so do not go and say what he is doing is wrong when he has not stated a purpose or stated what he has sitting or planned in the very near future.

is a 285 for an NA brz overkill. yes, but granted someone asking about minimal height and slicks must know what they are doing here. no need to bash, we are all enthusiasts here.

i have KW v3's and it seems like they can go pretty high up, but i'm not sure if they drop you a few MM even cranked up. i'm sure this has been asked before somewhere.

You obviously have no clue what the "Idea" is. As it sits right now, there is no need for anything to change based on how expecting the setup to perform. The 285s are not "squeezed", and I have no reason for coilovers other than being able to fit a taller/wider tire. Unlike you, I have chosen a setup that isnt themed around the sole purpose of looking good. If looking good was all i cared about, I wouldn't have bought an FRS just to put my ISF motor in it.

Have fun waiting for your the perfect moment, and best of luck when it finally comes...

Got some cheap 245/40 to see how things fit, then a 255 RSR or RS3 in the Spring.

I love how your 225/45/18s look. What is the speed sensor issue you are talking about, the speedometer being off?

I am trying to decide on 225/45 vs 225/40 on a 9in wide wheel. Apparently 225/45 is a stretch on even a 9in wheel but seems like you're fine on a 9.5in wheel

is there enough room there to drop the car 1.5" with a 225/45/18 tire?
