I was just thinking...

If one were to remove the lens and spray that inside out (like rc models)...it would gain the redness while being still glossy from the outside, and couldn't be scrapped off.

yes, thats the bodyshop approach, but then it goes from a 30minute job to a 3+hour job(others have tired).

over the years it'll fade an have to be reapplied, but for those who wouldn't think of tempting to cutting open their tail lights this is the next best thing.

good question tho.

These are growing on me the more I look at them. Is there any chance you could take some pictures in better light? Outside perhaps? Also, is your car raven or asphalt, I can't tell.

Heres more pictures, with the lights on, and in sunlight. My friend's C63 has tint on the tail light for comparison.

A proper spray tint will have better results than wrap majority of the time.

Iv seen both and have done both, and the key always comes down to how much patience you have.

Wraps are risk free and quick, a great solution for people who have very little patience and want the best results possible without fears.

On the other hand, painting takes hours of prep, hours of painting, and hours of finishing. Also meaning greater chance of error, but the results are magnificent when completed.

Some of the best tint jobs iv seen have been done to the inner lens, allowing the outer surface to remain pure from materials.
