If it still doesn't start, have someone tap the starter with a hammer (lightly) as you push the start button. This is probably where the clicking is coming from. Your symptoms sound like a bad starter. If tapping the starter works, don't shut it off and drive to a mechanic
I have checked and cleaned the cables, but still nothing changed. i've heard about tapping the solenoid, but i dont know how it actually looks like, could you show me where is it please ?

Also, I just realized I have never changed my fob battery. Same battery from 2012.

EDIT: If a battery is really dead, you may need 2 sets of jumper cables to get the car to start. (especially if you have cheaper ones with small gauge wire)
i will try to check the fuses asap, the battery is good, i even tried borrowing a new battery but its outcome is the same.

Starter would be my next guess if the battery actually is fine though.
they did a load test too, i just forgot to take note of the numbers but its still normal, almost like a new battery.

The starter failing would not cause all the dash lights to go out. You have a fuse or wiring issue someplace. Did you recently do anything to the car at all? A common issue is people that do work but do not reinstall the ground on the block properly.

New engine? Check how tight the ground strap is to the bell housing.

No clicks at all. Just the usual light show and needle dance in the dash

Update: car now at dealership who installed new engine. they "jumped" the starter and the car started right up. They suspect an issue with the key fob and immobilizer system.

"Final" Update: they check techstream and found no issues at all. After jumping the starter the car continued to start flawlessly on it's own.

I have changed the battery on the key fob but it seems it was working OK. I hate self-fixing issues as I now fear it will happen again at the most inconvenient time & place

I repeat. Check the ground connection on the flywheel. If it is loose or dirty then their "jumping" the starter may well have made it connect well enough again. The first time it gets wet or jostled you could loose power again. It may be fine but it is a simple check to be sure. Since it get's disconnected for an engine pull we have seen it as an issue with your exact same symptoms on here many times.

You ever try to get a horse that doesn't want to move going?

Oh and they did have fobs for the stubborn ones.
