Interesting weekend for us here.

On Saturday morning I met up with my dad so that he could give me my winter wheels. In the time of my dad and I shooting the breeze, my mom fully apologized to the wife. That relationship is on its way to being mended, so that’s great news.

The move went super well for us, and we had everything done by around 330 today, starting at 8am. Still a few things we need to get, but nothing is really a huge rush. Still to do:

Get couch. Need to decide whether we want to buy one, or get the one my parents offered us. I’m leaning towards the latter.
Get coffee table
Get a TV stand
Maybe get a new TV, since mine got beat up pretty good during the move, the glass has some scratches and a crack. Not super worried about this, as the TV is around 10 years old. It also doesn’t get a whole lot of use anymore, so we’re trying to figure out what we want to do in terms of replacement. We’re also figuring a 55” is a bit big for us at this time, so I need to think about how small I’d be ok with going.

Outside of that, everything else is great. I definitely need to do a purge of belongings, but that can wait until I have more time. The only thing that went wrong today was that we didn’t get internet installed. Sucks for the wife since she’s doing some online classes right now, but I think she can hold off for another couple days. Think she set the install up for the 17th after we had our installer no show today.

Oh yeah, only complaint about this place, well, two complaints. First, the shower has a faucet for whatever reason, so you gotta bend down to pull the thing on it for the shower head to put water out. And our fridge isn’t dispensing water for some reason, but the ice maker works.

As long as there isn't any cut away engines for him to stare at for hours all will be fine.

Besides there is this for the last part of the week:

The only decapitation that I am aware of was in Turkey in around 2015. Female passenger wearing religious head covering.
