convert into 5x114.3

Hello everyone,
I will be buying new wheels, but they are different bolt pattern. I know i will need to run spacers, but i was wondering if the center ring is needed to run the spacers, i have read mixed things that sometimes it is needed and times it is not.
If you guys can give me input i would appreciate it!!

well the center ring will help reduce vibration from the wheel and keeps it planted to the hub/brakes. only way around it is if your spacer/adapter is lug centric if i'm not mistaken. personally i'd just get the rings. you can find them on ebay or jegs for less than $20 i think
