I've been thinking about about that for awhile now. I think that would be awesome but we'd be limited on how many cars we could get in the frame.

It's a hill country drive http://www.motorcycleroads.com/75/55...5-336337a.html

Beautiful scenery, and fun twisty roads.

Oh man, trust me when I say reading about it doesnt do the run justice. Driving it is waaaaaaay better. Lots of hill country and what I would consider mountain roads, but not like real mountain roads. You do drive a lot os twisty roads on the side of hills but its soooo much fun. I was told to drive it slow the first time but I couldnt, I was trying to keep up with the peeps in front of me. Either ride along with someone or drive it slowly with traction control on the first time. Also be prepared to get some chips in the paint. If i had a go pro by the next run Id take it and record my horrible driving skills lol.

Wow that sounds super fun (except for the rock chips). Shouldn't you be able to avoid those if you stay back from the guy ahead of you?

Also what about tickets/bike riders/etc? There are always crazy bikers out in the hill country, and I worry about not seeing them in the twisties...

I was the last car and stayed pretty far back, but somehow you still get em. I dont think I got alot while on the actual run, but one the way up. We drove the clockwise, and to my understanding the bikers go counter clockwise. We did get behind a few slow bikers once, and a slow truck, but there are passing points. As for tickets...the day we went out, I dont think I even saw a cop that day, there were points where I hit 100mph on the rolling straights. I dont recommend it, but if you are the last car chances are you will see the cops chase someone else going fast before you lol. We had walkie talkies when we went, front car and trailing car.

Grrr... I am supposed to pick up my couch in Austin that day, otherwise I'd totally be in.

About the Twisted Sisters, I went with Got3n the last time & I definitely echo his words. Definitely let the more experienced drivers out in front. If you guys do the route as 337>335>336 you shouldn't encounter too many bikes & when you are on 41 (to connect 335 to 336) do NOT speed... you know, not that I condone speeding in any form...

I'm totally down do snap a few pics at the Alamo if that ever happens.

I am trying to picture in my head how close we can get to the Alamo in our cars, and for some reason can't.

I say we take about 2-5 cars out there on a Sunday night and get some shots (shouldn't be as busy), We can also do some rolling/ Panning shots under that colorful lit bridge bridge I posted earlier.

If the weather is good next Sunday, anyone want to try this?

That's good for a few cars I'd say. I'm not too keen on taking my 86 downtown again. People are freaking terrible drivers down there.

San Antonio is by far the best city I've ever lived in/visited.

That being said, People in SA are terrible drivers in general. I don't understand the 10 under thing, nor why people find merging onto the highway so difficult.
