anyone know if 18x10 +40 with 245/40 AD08r would fit without guard work?
i dont mind rolling the guards but rather not pull the guards. i will be tracking the car so i need to make sure this fitment wouldn't have any issue on the track. unless you guys recommend a different setup? |

I already bought 18X10's +40. Will be going with 275s all around, but they're just a hair wider than the 265 PSS so I should be good. Might need to pull the fender a little bit more, but should be fine. Will be adding 6 mm on each side (considering .5 larger wheels and new tire size), compared to my past setup.

what is guard work? you will be fine with just a boost roll, as you roll it will also slightly pull it, you won't even notice. just look at @OmarGC and take notes. |

Rears won't clear strut. Look up diameter and you can figure out if it will throw the speedo off. Stock diameter is 24.7inches I believe. Don't get 19's. |

Once again, 19's are all wrong for this car. There are many links to tire/wheel calculators, go research there. Stock diameter is 24.7 +/- an inch isn't a big deal. People run 265/35-18. Find a comparable size in 19. If you want a meaty tire you need a couple things. 1. right fitting wheels (not 19's with high offsets) 2. coilover suspension to make room (which you don't have) 3. camber or ability to add camber (which you don't have) 4. rolled fenders (which you dont have) In order to fit those wheels with your current setup, you would need stretched tires and spacers. |

Man.. hopefully by next year, I would man up and get the header+tune, so I can run 255s. This looks so much more meatier than my 245s! Love it.

There are different threads with vossens in the same offset as mine they have the same springs no spacers their set up is 235/35 up front and 265/30 but I am trying to get a good answer on will a wider tire fit. I'm sorry if it doesn't fit your standard of how my car should be built. I only want facts not opinions not trying to be an ass but a simple yes or no would be better than telling me I'm building my car all wrong. While we are speaking of opinions, my opinion meaty tires to me doesn't have to have large sidewall. a wide tire I feel is also considered a meaty tire. But hey thanks for your speedy replies Last edited by Xtreme-86; 06-26-2015 at 06:36 PM. |
