anyone know if 18x10 +40 with 245/40 AD08r would fit without guard work?
i dont mind rolling the guards but rather not pull the guards.

i will be tracking the car so i need to make sure this fitment wouldn't have any issue on the track.

unless you guys recommend a different setup?

your obvious solution is te37/CE28/ZE40. or just get something custom form CCW (which is somewhat local to you) or something else thats custom like forgestar (but i'm not the biggest fan of them)

if you roll and slightly pull the rear, roll the front by the side marker you will have some serious clearance if you run the appropriate offset, maybe even a +42/45 on a 10" rim. with my +40's i would say it would be tight in the rear with anything bigger than that MPSS tire you just ditched. i know @OmarGC runs 18x10 with a 265 zII square which also runs wide.

but i'd imagine you want to be in the same alignment specs as i am, which is less than -2 in the rear.

the biggest question is budget, if your'e okay with spending 3k+ on wheels, then the sky is the limit. but if you want to be in the moderate budget like me, you don't have THAT many options sadly for wheels because 5x100 is the kiss of death, and then if your' like me and have brembos you might as well shoot yourself in the foot because nothing fucking clears unless you got to a +22 offset or something completely utterly useless like that.

you can go to an R-comp though, it all depends what more important to you $ and treadler, or grip and a new set every summer or 4th track day? can't have both really.
I didn't get this notification!

I already bought 18X10's +40.

Will be going with 275s all around, but they're just a hair wider than the 265 PSS so I should be good. Might need to pull the fender a little bit more, but should be fine. Will be adding 6 mm on each side (considering .5 larger wheels and new tire size), compared to my past setup.

so you want to track the car but will stretch a 245 on a 10'?

what is guard work? you will be fine with just a boost roll, as you roll it will also slightly pull it, you won't even notice.

just look at @OmarGC and take notes.

Ok need help on size, car is lowered on Sportline springs.
Rims are
front19x8.5 +45 tire nitto invo 245/35zr19 y
Rear19x10 +50 nitto invo 275/30zr19 y

Will this fit without any modification to the fenders, and will it clear the stock strut?

Also will this throw off the speedo

Fronts might clear but I doubt it.
Rears won't clear strut.
Look up diameter and you can figure out if it will throw the speedo off. Stock diameter is 24.7inches I believe.
Don't get 19's.

19's are all wrong for this car. Everyone has different opinions on setup. Since you are posting on the meaty thread, you'd want 255++ on the rear for the 10x and 235/245+++ on the 8.5, neither will fit with your current suspension/offsets. The fronts might fit, but they will be very tight.

Once again, 19's are all wrong for this car.
There are many links to tire/wheel calculators, go research there.
Stock diameter is 24.7 +/- an inch isn't a big deal. People run 265/35-18. Find a comparable size in 19.

If you want a meaty tire you need a couple things.
1. right fitting wheels (not 19's with high offsets)
2. coilover suspension to make room (which you don't have)
3. camber or ability to add camber (which you don't have)
4. rolled fenders (which you dont have)

In order to fit those wheels with your current setup, you would need stretched tires and spacers.

Man.. hopefully by next year, I would man up and get the header+tune, so I can run 255s. This looks so much more meatier than my 245s! Love it.

There are different threads with vossens in the same offset as mine they have the same springs no spacers their set up is 235/35 up front and 265/30 but I am trying to get a good answer on will a wider tire fit. I'm sorry if it doesn't fit your standard of how my car should be built. I only want facts not opinions not trying to be an ass but a simple yes or no would be better than telling me I'm building my car all wrong.
While we are speaking of opinions, my opinion meaty tires to me doesn't have to have large sidewall. a wide tire I feel is also considered a meaty tire.
But hey thanks for your speedy replies
