Can't argue with any of that.

Oh I completely agree but did it as overkill. It's also nice to be able to run veggie oil (90 gallons I put in my aux tank for distant tracks) and still get 20 mpg running around in the truck...or 15mpg while rolling with GCVW of 15,000lb at 85 mph
If you get an old 12V Cummins, 22-24 mpg while towing isn't unheard of. but yes, a used F150 for $8k will get the job done, no sweat. |

I was going with another car for a track only spec but came back to this car.
Also got a dealer update saying it will be ready in the upcoming month (potentially) and they can fulfill my order as the region are getting a selected amount and since I was one of the first to put a deposit down I am good to go. Day 1: Let all my friends drive the car whove been interested Day 2: Teach my GF how to drive it properly (Manual of course) Day 3: Rip all the interior out Day 4: Drop it off for product development at the shop |

I'm looking at renting a garage now to store my WRX and work on both cars. My hope was to find something I could rent or buy that also had a garage but that never materialized so I'm hoping to find a cheap garage rental. Unfortunately there don't seem to be too many options out there at the moment.

Ive been playing with the idea of making this a track car but want to use it for myself every so once and a while. Just not sure if i want to take the plunge and dedicate it as well as the fact that ive never done it before.

I'm planning on waiting for some kid to lightly total his so I can buy it for dirt. As long as the chassis isn't bent I'm all over it. Then I will swap a 5.0 liter Boss 302 V8 engine as well as the 6 speed transmission from the Boss Mustang. The only thing that will stop me from doing this is if the next generation (2014) Mustang is an even better option as a track car than the FT86. There is a very good possibility that will happen but if not I will so do this.
I would gut the car, widen the wheel base, and do all the other race mods previously mentioned in this thread. Finished product would be 450 bhp 385 lb.-ft and curb weight would be ~2,300… |

No sir the best part about the Boss Coyote is all that power, torque, and revs all without the need for forced induction. N/A FTW baby

If I had the disposable income, I'd buy two of these cars: An FR-S for track duty, and a BRZ Limited for street. I learned the hard way that race parts are for race cars, not street cars. My MR2 went from a fun street car to an almost-race car and is no longer fun on the street. As such I'll probably turn it into a full track car and keep the BRZ street friendly. I won't cry if I accidentally stuff my 25-yr-old Toyota into a tire barrier, whereas I might if I did it in my brand new Subaru that I need to get me to work the following day...
Any word on a Spec-86 series in the States? I guess it could take a while; they only just announced a spec racing series for the 350Z this year. I think it would be a lot of fun for people with the budget - something different than Spec Miata, and a little higher skill than the B Spec series (Mazda 2, Fiesta, Fit).
