Unfortunate side effect of buying my BRZ, just cost me 33k...

My wife, who used to drive sporty cars when we were younger, all manuals, loved driving my BRZ. So much so that I just put a deposit down on a 2013 Ford Mustang GT California Special in black, manual of course.

I did not expect my car to end up costing me 60k in one year!

But she's happy now I guess, that means something right?

Just glad I'd saved enough for the BRZ so I only will have one car loan again, been loan free for 2-3 years, guess it had to end eventually.

Edit For clarity:

Just saying how the BRZ re-sparked my wife's desire for a sporty car (of her own) and it cost me. I blame the BRZ, that's all.

The FR-S is my wife's daily driver. I couldn't even get her to consider the Mustang. She said it's way too big.

In any case, nice stable!

LOL, she fell in love, what can a guy do? Funny thing is that I was originally going to buy myself a mustang, always loved them. But when I heard about the BRZ, memories of my Celica came back and I was sold so to speak.

Now I have my cake and can eat it too except she hates convertibles and that was what I'd have gotten....

So ... why not buy another BRZ or an FR-S? Or wait until the 2014 model comes out? It might have some fixes or more options.
I don't know, I guess the Mustang is so big that it's unappealing to me.

Drove a mustang GT 5.0 liter in Maui, HI couple weeks ago (thanks Hertz). Fast car but it has its limitations. I think as long as she doesn't get tired from the car, it's a good buy.

We've driven about a dozen GT's and 6 cylinders, we both love the way they drive, for different reasons than the BRZ obviously.

She wanted more room for the kids and she likes the beasty look of them. It's like my dodge megacab, I've got it because I love the look, and the kids can't kick my seat while in the back, not because it handles like a go-cart. Different reasons behind it ya know?

So from that sense (megacab) the mustang is tiny still. I need to get pics of my truck and BRZ next to each other, it's pretty funny seeing them side by side.
