I'll share more info soon but for now I wanted to say............ I'm going W I D E B O D Y!

My kit will if all goes according to plan will be a mash up of different brands. The wide body part is already ordered. I'm still trying to get a response from a foreign company about another piece to my kit. My new look will be for sometime in 2018.

If anyone knows of any 2 or 3 piece used wheels let me know. I plan on having them refinished and changing the spoke colors is definitely on the docket. My favorite wheel is available in a 2 piece.... so if you come across a Work CRP2 or another Japanese made wheel please link it here.

Also, sometime soon I will be selling my wheels, tires, and Uras kit... if you're interested, keep your eye out for my sale post.

Congrats. Dying to do this but buying a house had to come first. I think Work sells custom color and offset wheels. They were my first choice with SSR being next. But I'm really picky on spoke patterns, so there aren't a lot of options for me

It's been a while since I posted...

Here are some updates without being to specific about exact parts I'll be installing over the winter and spring. I'm keeping it on the down low for now...

I ordered my widebody kit. I will not use the full kit so I will be selling the front lip spoiler in the future (I'll post the FS up in the near future). I plan on ordering my new front lip spoiler tomorrow. The new lip spoiler combo will integrate seamlessly with my widebody kit I have chosen. I have not seen anyone running the aero kit combo I will be running. The rear is undecided but I'm getting close to making a decision on it.

I may have to repaint the entire 86 once the new aero is installed because my paint has been stained by a red dye released by the microfiber cloths I use. My paints looks like it has a red hue in the pearl. I've tried using a compound and clay bar to remove the red hue but neither worked. I ordered and will use white HQ microfiber cloths from now on.

I'm planning on going with two or three piece wheels. I would like to buy used wheels then have them refinished so if y'all know of any for sale in widebody offsets let me know. I'm looking to go with SSR or Work wheels. I'm thinking about powder coating the disks a gold close to Beatrush gold just so it can pop some.

I am also still debating which wing or spoiler to go with...

I will be selling my full Uras aero kit with spoiler. I will also be selling my Work XSA-04Cs. Not sure yet about my tires though... I will post soon about the sale of the aforementioned parts.

oh... I plan on doing basically all the body work myself... then I'll prep (masking) it for paint. I'll be looking for the right shop to do the actual painting though. I'll stay with the OEM 37J color.

I've never heard of colored microfiber towels staining the finish of a paint/clear coat. Seems unlikely and impossible.

WTF??

There is absolutely no doubt it was the cheap microfiber towels. I didn't think they could stain my paint but they did over time. I would always use red towels and the water in the bucket would turn red.... never thought it would penetrate my clear and or stain my paint. The dye absorbed more into the bumpers than the body of the 86. I used red towels to apply quick wax as well... I think that was where the staining originated.

lol... Walmart... I'd used them once maybe twice for quick detailing then they became rags I would use to clean really dirty parts then I would throw them away. I polished with a high quality microfiber though. I've learned my lesson...
