Im about to order a crap load of the two types of clips if anyone needs some. Would save us both on shipping. I think they are $1 a piece plus shipping. The local dealership was like 1.80 a piece.

Ok, we are selling these for 70 shipped now for one side. includes the OEM liner and 7 of each type of clip. Would run you about 90 at the dealer and you would have to deal with the old parts lady that works there .

Well, the car was totally converted back to stock and sold as of yesterday. Headgasket was starting to go. Would start the car after shutting it down from a few runs and it would puff white smoke for 10/15 seconds. Figured that was the sign to part ways. Going on to other things but hope to co-drive at some events this coming year if I can.

Interesting - that's a first. Have you seen this happen on any other twins?

And good luck with the new toy!

There's a thread about a guy having a dealer replace the HG on his, I have heard of a few others that aren't on the forums. Found out about one this morning that never made it public but dumped the car cause of it. From others I have talked to there's atleast 8/9 that have had the issue that I am aware of.

It says STU right on the fender. Why was I thinking they were STR?

Its SCCA Club Racing STU, not autocross STU. Different class and set of rules. Jumping off the autocross wagon with this one. You are right, though. In autocross the S2k is in Street Touring R

Funny you mention this. A cone impact ripped out the front portion of my driver side fender liner and i ended up cutting it off after it was mangled from dragging on the ground while i was driving.

Looks like i'm not the only one this has happened to.

Give me a shout and we'll ship you the whole kit to fix it up. It's about 70$ shipped and will include tons of extra clips. Sure beats cleaning dirt and mid out of there if you leave it out.

On a seperate note, is there a list of LcA that are legal in this thread somewhere...or just go with the spc?
