Moving to VA - advice on inspection
Hello All,
I am moving to VA and need advice on the annual inspection process. My car has no engine/exhaust mods so it would pass, BUT I am extremely OCD about my car and have had bad experiences in the past with mechanics dinging doors etc. Any recommendation for inspection shops that are careful, or touch/handle the car less than others? Does every inspection include putting the car on a lift? |

I've always had my FR-S pass at my local Toyota dealership and I've never felt like they abused or dirtied my car in any way I ever became aware of.

I live in central Va. No emission tests here (northern Va yes). Yes, my shop puts it on a lift. Join a local Cars and Coffee and ask for recommendations on shops.

I imagine they do, since they need to check brake pad thickness and such. No emissions testing here, though.

The local shops I use for safety usually use a roller jack to raise one side of the car for the brake/suspension check. Post what town/location you're moving to specifically and you may get particular places. I'm trying out Dale City Auto Care right now and I've been happy with their service so far.
