Alex Lloyd's "How to win an autocross" column

First off I will say that since this column became a staple on Jalopnik a few months ago I've been reading it religiously. I find Alex's writing very entertaining and love hearing his thoughts and stories, even if a lot of his advice isn't exactly groundbreaking, some of it is a different perspective than I'm used to. Not to mention it beats the snot out of most car blog drivel you usually see.

Here is his latest article posted today:
http://jalopnik.com/5928097/how-to-win-an-autocross

I'm really excited at the fact that autocross is getting quite a bit more media attention lately rather than just in SCCA's Sports Car magazine. In addition to this article, there was a segment on this week's Mobile 1 The Grid on Speed Channel highlighting The Spring Nationals event. Fun video segment, feel free to post it up if someone finds it.

Anyway... I thought this was cool and figured I'd pass it along.

At Sonoma Raceway in 2007, I had to win the race to be crowned the Indy Lights Champion. I was leading with 5 to go and had a guy just inches off my gearbox. Suddenly, the world's most annoying song popped into my head (Seal's Kiss From A Rose). No idea why, but I started humming it. I even broke down into chorus.
I've been in cars with people humming before....

Good read.
